%%- Goldman Sachs, one of world's top investment banks, was reported yesterday to have "suffered significantly" in one of its hedge funds and some wealthy investors are going to pump 3 billion US dollars into the fund to bail it out.
The report says the fund has lost 14% of its value in the last 12 months.
Now a 40% loss would definitely be "significant". But a 14% loss, tho' bad, is far from being "significant" and in need of a bailout.
Either there's a mistake in the report, or something fishy is going on.
