Went to Kroger the other day. Was too early in the morning and no cashiers were working yet. Had to pay by their automatic payment system.

Then this Mexican lady employee came over and spoke to me, in Spanish, in a friendly way. I didn't understand a word she said.

"She asked you not to touch the counter with your hand or else the system wouldn't work properly," said my sister from my back.

"How do you know that? You don't speak Spanish," I said.

"Well, she was speaking English," said my sister.

Come on, no way...oh...ok, with a very very heavy accent then.

Gosh, hope people won't mistake it for Chinese when I speak English!
