In the 1920s, television, which would become a revolutionary boon to the broadcasting industry, had just been invented. In anticipation of future profitability, radio stocks rose 1,126% from October 1924 to September 1929. Radio stocks fell the hardest. They were down 95% by the end of 1932. From its top at $111.75 in September 1929, Radio Corp of America (RCA), the Nvidia of its time, fell 98% to $2.65 in May 1932. In business, RCA was on top for virtually the entire time, but its share price did not recover until the 1960s.
